About me

Hi, I’m Kenya — a sourdough and cookie lover and mum of two.

My sourdough journey started about five years ago thanks to my mother-in-law, Ann. Ann is one of those talented people who makes absolutely everything from scratch, and somehow it all turns out incredibly tasty.

One morning she baked a fresh sourdough loaf for breakfast and served it with her homemade jam. One bite in and I remember thinking, how can bread taste this good?! It was honestly unlike anything I’d ever eaten.

Of course, I had to learn how to make it myself! That very weekend, Ann and I baked a loaf together, and from that moment on, I was completely hooked. I went home obsessed — reading, baking, experimenting — and I’ve never really stopped since.
